Flat Tub WMA is located in Jeff Davis county and has been owned and managed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (GA DNR) Nongame Section since 2013 for wildlife, hunting, boating, and other recreational activities. This 7,141-acre management area includes 5,641 acres of upland pine/hardwood forest and 1,500 acres of hardwood drains and river bottomland. This WMA contains is managed with prescribed fire and provides critical habitat for multiple wildlife species. Located along the Ocmulgee River, Flat Tub provides a unique and valuable matrix of uplands and bottomland habitats that provide freshwater for its diverse residents.
